- Watching Connor and Lily empty their stockings.
- Realizing no gift was tempting enough to convince Lily to put down her 'elmo snacks' and open presents.
- Remembering, once again, how blessed we are to be loved by so many people.
- Watching Lily feel 'so pretty' in her handmade (by a friend, not by me) Christmas dress.
- Listening to Connor sing at the top of his lungs during church, hymn book open, looking straight ahead at the chorister.
- Singing Silent Night with Connor.
- Watching Connor and Lily watch the video of themselves from Christmas morning. We put the camera on the piano bench and just let it record. It was even more fun to watch them watch themselves opening their gifts.
- Seeing Lily prance around with her new purse, acting so grown up.
- Eating a chocolate orange for the first time in many years.
- Unwrapping one amazing book after another.
- Drinking the perfect cup of hot chocolate.
- Peeling chestnuts, zesting clementines, candying cranberries.
- Being together.
- Phone calls to family.
- Kneeling together to give thanks for the birth of our Savior.
